Problem creating report - Ubuntu

description

Hello,

I am using the IRIS Toolbox (20151016) on Ubuntu 16.04. When starting up IRIS in Matlab, the TeX complier is found:

IRIS Macroeconomic Modeling Toolbox Release 20151016.
Copyright (c) 2007-2017 IRIS Solutions Team.

IRIS root: XXXXX
User config file: No user config file found.
LaTeX engine: /usr/bin/pdflatex
.
X13-ARIMA-SEATS: Version 1.1 Build 19 (April 2, 2015).
However, when trying to create a simple report (Text and tables, nothing sophisticated) only the temporary folders with the .tex file (which can be compiled externally and produce a nice pdf) are created. The Matlab command line gives me this error:

Warning: IRIS Toolbox Warning @ report.
*** Error compiling LaTeX and/or PDF files.
Matlab says: mv: cannot stat
    'XXXXXX/tp03297101_de5e_4a45_928c_3da508e0904d/tp71e6a4c2_9beb_45b9_a825_f48f834f5302.pdf':
    No such file or directory
/bin/bash: line 1: /usr/bin/pdflatex
: No such file or directory

Any clue about why this happens? Is it a permission-related problem with some of the folders?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I've just checked it on my Ubuntu 16.04 and it seems to work fine. Could you send us all the output of the report.publish command? Seems like pdf-file was not created for some reason.

BTW, IRIS is currently moving to github, so you may want to check out new Beta version from there. Here is the new address: https://github.com/IRIS-Solutions-Team/IRIS-Toolbox

Attached is the folder created by the "publish" command along with the tex file. By the way, after the execution stops and I get the error mesage above, the attached folder is not added to the Matlab path...
